We have enabled a graphical resource monitor at http://hpc0.cimne.upc.edu where you can check all the resources of the machines per unit of time.
New visualization node & more
We are pleased to announce a new visualization node called “fisheye” that will help you with the execution of 3D applications like GiD. All the information can be checked at https://hpc.cimne.upc.edu/portfolio-view/visualization-node/.
Also we remember you that all the info of this web is up to date with the new cluster characteristics.
Added GCC 5.3 & boost C++ libraries v1.61.0
Recently we have installed GCC version 5.3 at HPC. You can use it by loading the module gcc/5.3 with command: module load gcc/5.3
Also we have installed boost C++ libraries at version 1.61.0. The module name is boost/1.61.0-b1
Changes at nodes and partitions
Recently we added 4 nodes to Acuario cluster. These nodes form part of two new partitions, “Parallel” and “Serial”. You can check it at compute nodes section and getting started section.
We are back!
We have renewed all content and we want to continue filling this website with interesting information for your HPC jobs.
First of all we warn you that a new cluster with newer machines is accessible on demand (send us an e-mail to cau@cimne.upc.edu). The old cluster is also available but only for few months. We have been joining both clusters to form a big new cluster and the process is near end. Don’t worry about your jobs and data, we will warn you with sufficient time when the old cluster will be shutdown and your data will be accessible from the new cluster. If you have any questions please use the HPC mailing list hpc@listas.cimne.upc.edu.
Best regards,
Systems department
